We’re looking forward to attending the Go Green Family Race Day at Chepstow Racecourse this Sunday (July 31, 2016), which is being held in association with Keep Wales Tidy.
We will be taking along the world’s most popular and successful electric vehicle to date – the Nissan Leaf. There are many benefits of switching to an electric vehicle such as the low running costs and of course the environmental aspects.
This race meeting aims to raise awareness of environmental issues while providing lots of free entertainment for families at the same time. In fact, this is Britain’s first environmentally themed family race day.
We will be on-hand to chat to families about the benefits and the practicality of owning an 100% electric Leaf. There will be a special discount offer for Go Green attendees – 20% off the list price of the Nissan Leaf meaning a saving of around £6,500. During the event people can also book appointments to test drive the vehicle at our dealership on Hadfield Road in Cardiff.
At the Go Green Family Race Day all entertainment will be operated without the use of generated power. Bike power will be central to the theme of the day. Attendees will be able to cycle a stationary bike to generate power for the children’s disco. People will also be able to charge their mobile phone with bike power.
Other entertainment includes a Rugby Zone with the Newport Gwent Dragons, face painting, children’s entertainers, a mobile climbing wall, trampolines, donkey rides, circus workshop, giant garden games and crazy golf.
There will also be a Green Zone for children to make a seed bomb, a bird feeder and a mini bug hotel and also get involved with lots of arts and crafts activities.
The Go Green Family Race Day takes place at Chepstow Racecourse on Sunday, July 31 and starts at 12noon. A family ticket is £25 in advance for two adults and unlimited children. For more information, please visit www.chepstow-racecourse.co.uk.
