Half marathon gets some wheelie good support

THIS MONTH (September, 2016) we provided some four-wheeled support to the Great Bristol Half Marathon.

Our branch on Feeder Road has loaned a Kia Niro, which is a hybrid vehicle, and two Kia Sportages to the event organisers to use during the road race, which takes place on Sunday, September 25.

Mark Hayward, General Manager, explained: “We are always keen to support local sports events wherever and whenever we can, as they really bring the city together.

“As part of our backing for the event we have supplied three Kia vehicles including the new cutting-edge crossover – the Kia Niro. It is the world’s first dedicated hybrid utility vehicle.

“The vehicles have been branded with information about the half marathon and will be used to help promote it. The Kia Niro will also be used for the actual event to lead the race for the runners.

“The course starts and finishes in Bristol’s historic Harbourside. The scenic, sea-level route takes runners past the Harbourside, out and back along the Portway, through the stunning Avon Gorge, and twice under Brunel’s famous Clifton Suspension Bridge, along Cumberland Road, then around the old city before returning to Anchor Road.”

The city centre run has become a long-held tradition in the national running calendar and more than 10,000 runners take part each year.

We have outlets in Bristol, Cardiff, Gloucester and Newport. It specialises in new and used car sales across South Wales and the South West.
