Old clothes needed to raise cash for charity

Now is the time to clear some space ready for your new summer wardrobe and at the same time you could also be helping a charity in Bristol.

We have a collection bin at our Feeder Road dealership for people to drop off any clean, unwanted clothes they have as well as books, CDs, DVDs and homeware. The items will then be donated to St Peter’s Hospice to sell in its shops.

All donations must be useable, clean, complete and of saleable quality.

Everything that is donated will be given to St Peter’s Hospice to sell in one of its 47 shops in the Bristol area so the better the quality of your items, the more money we can raise.

We are aiming to raise more than £1,000 this year from the collection so we hope lots of people will help us to reach our target.

St Peter’s Hospice cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses. As Bristol’s only adult hospice, it cares for more than 2,670 patients each year as well as supporting family members.

Edward Smith, Corporate Fundraiser at St Peter’s Hospice in Brentry, said: “It’s great that Wessex Garages is providing people with a collection point. It is an easy way for people to help us raise funds.”

Mark Hayward, General Manager of Wessex Garages, dropping a bag of clothes into the collection bin.
